Your road warriors are at it again! In August, Ange, Angela, Lynann and Tracy will all be participating in Virtuoso Travel Mart. This is phenomenal opportunity for us to meet representatives from all Virtuoso suppliers world wide. We form great friendships with these people who then make it a point to spoil you when you travel with them. Everything from hotels and cruise lines, to tour operators and luggage delivery services are present. We will still be working from the road so from the 18th through the 22nd, you will not see our smiling faces, but you can certainly contact us via email or by calling Carolyn here at the office. For a list of the people we will meet, feel free to peruse the suppliers on www.thetvlagency.com.
While most of the crew is at Travel Mart, Debbie will be the Virtuoso Host on Holland America’s Rotterdam. The Best of the Baltic is a 12 day sailing from London and includes two days in St. Petersburg as well as all four Scandinavian capitals.
Ange and Jim have stayed a little closer to home since they got their new Giant Schnauzer puppy in May. Luger is the newest addition and he is 6 ½ months old. You will have to meet him! Luger will be taking obedience classes from our favorite instructor, Ron White. If you are interested in bringing your pup (young or old), please call Ange for details. www.ronaldwhite.com
Angela and Eric had a phenomenal honeymoon island hopping in the Caribbean. They visited: St. John at Caneel Bay www.caneelbay.com , Anguilla at CuisinArt resort http://www.cuisinartresort.com/ and St. Lucia at Ladera www.ladera.com ! Eric surprised Angela for her 30th birthday and took her, Ange and Jim to dine at The Chef’s Table in Salt at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. What an amazing way to celebrate. They all highly recommend it. For Eric’s 32nd birthday, Angela took him on a surprise trip to Little St. Simons Island for an all inclusive stay in a cottage with many activities. http://www.littlestsimonsisland.com/ . They hope that Australia will be the next big one! To that end, Angela has become an Aussie specialist through a program with the Australia Board of Tourism, is participating in a year long Virtuoso Australia Specialist program and is attending the “Corroboree” for three days in Los Angeles. This is a special training done by representatives of every state in Australia. The theme this year is the epic movie “Australia,” staring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, to be released later this year.
Lynann took her first trip to Costa Rica in July. She visited Paradisus Playa Conchal and experienced some fantastic adventures arranged by our Virtuoso onsite, Swiss Travel Services. Lynann has chosen Regent Seven Seas Cruises as one of her specialties. She will be back in Alaska aboard Regent Seven Seas’ Mariner as the Virtuoso host September 10th. Lynann’s co-host is Sarah Booker. The two of them will spend time in Victoria prior to the cruise. Please let us know if you would like to join her! To view the itinerary, visit www.rssc.com
Tracy and Kevin hosted a Virtuoso Explorer Club sailing aboard Holland America’s new Eurodam on it’s inaugural cruise through the Norwegian Fjords for 10 days. They have great photos and stories to share if you are interested. www.hollandamerica.com
Carolyn is headed to New York City for a long weekend of shopping and shows at the end of July. Carolyn is hosting Seabourn’s Legend September 20th-27th sailing Rome to Nice with co-host DJ Johnston. Please call us if you would like to join these fabulous ladies!
Vicki has just returned from a week in Vegas for fun. They had a great time taking in all the sights, riding rides and enjoying all Vegas has to offer!
Ryan has just returned from a trip back to Spain where he hosted two study abroad programs with Student Voyage www.studentvoyage.com. They were based in Seville, but also traveled to other parts of Southern Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar.
Janine has moved just outside of Lafayette, LA and has a great big piece of property where the family is having a blast! She is still working with us so do not worry if you have worked with her in the past. She is still available via email or by calling us.
We appreciate any feedback you have regarding our website or any travel educationals you may be interested in. We have co-hosted some great, invitation only parties with some of our clients to spark interest with their friends for a trip they are planning. If this is something you think you would like to do, please let us know.
We have a few ideas in the works for something fresh and new to involve many of our suppliers that will be one of THE events of the year to attend. Keep your eyes open for information on that.
If you are not aware, Ciao is now open for lunch! It is one of our favorites and Lucca will spoil you rotten. We also hope to see you either at the street music on Centre the 1st Friday of the month or Boardwalk Bash at the Amelia Island Plantation on any given Friday.
As always, we value your feedback. Whether from trips you have taken or events you have attended (ours or someone else’s). We want to be your partners in The Art of Travel!
