While living in Spain from August 2005 through June 2007 I traveled extensively through Europe and North Africa. My favorite trips during this time include surfing and sailing in the Algarve region of Portugal, camel trekking through the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert in Merzouga, Morocco and hiking the volcano El Teide, in Tenerife of the Canary Islands.
